Account statuses explained

What Active, Restricted, Suspended and Banned mean for you and what others see.

MOOV accounts have one of four statuses. The status decides what you can do in the app, and is enforced on the server, not just hidden in the interface.

  • •Active — the normal state. Everything works as usual
  • •Restricted — you keep your profile, history and communities, but can't post, chat, follow, join or create. Used for minor or first violations
  • •Suspended — most actions are temporarily blocked. The suspension screen shows the end date when one is set, and access returns automatically when it passes
  • •Banned — permanent. The app is closed to you and your profile is no longer available to others

You always see your own status in the app: restricted accounts show a banner, while suspended and banned accounts get a full-screen notice explaining the situation and offering a link to support.

The internal reason behind a status is never shown to other members. Restricted profiles remain visible in the community — only suspended and banned profiles are unavailable to others.

If you believe a status was applied by mistake, contact support and we will review it.
