Routes
The path is the plan. Routes power events and connect the community's favorite journeys.
Definition
What is a route?
In MOOV, every event is built around a route defined by an exact Google Maps directions link — pinned start and finish coordinates, and a measured distance. Completed event routes are collected into a catalog so the community can find them again.
Working with routes
Recording, saving, discovering, sharing
Record a route
Record any activity with GPS and the route is captured with it — your trace of the path you took.
Reuse routes
Routes from completed events can be reused when creating a new event with one tap.
Discover routes
Browse the community's routes by sport and distance, and see routes on upcoming events.
Share routes
Share an event link with its route, or share one of your own activities with people who can see it.
Honest limits
Route navigation and privacy
No turn-by-turn navigation
MOOV doesn't provide turn-by-turn navigation today. Every route keeps its Google Maps link, so you can open real directions with one tap.
Route privacy
Routes in the catalog show start and finish by design — they are meeting points. Your personal GPS traces are your activities, and those follow your per-activity privacy settings, private by default. A feature to hide the exact start/end point of an activity is planned but not available yet.
Catalog rollout
The full routes catalog is being rolled out gradually — most members currently see a "Coming soon" experience while it fills up.
