Location
What location data is collected, and when
When location is collected
Only while you are recording an activity or checking in to an event. MOOV does not track you between activities and never records your location silently.
Why location is required for GPS recording
Your route, distance, speed and altitude are computed from GPS position samples — there is no way to record an activity without location. Points are captured at a pace tuned to your activity and filtered for accuracy.
Who may see activities and routes
- •Every activity has its own visibility: Only me, Friends, Crew only, or Everyone — private by default.
- •Private activities never appear on your public profile and never generate public previews when shared.
- •Routes in the community catalog show start and finish by design — they are meeting points.
- •Group-only activity visibility limits an activity to the members of its group.

Privacy settings and deletion
Profile visibility
From your profile you control which sport sections and details other members can see. Your email is never shown to other members.
Deleting activities
You can permanently delete any recorded activity from its detail screen — the activity and its GPS trace are removed for good.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself — instantly and permanently — from the app (Settings → Delete account) or from the Delete your account page. Your profile, activities and GPS data, participations and memberships are removed; chat messages you sent stay in shared conversations anonymously; support communications are retained admin-only as a security record. Deletion always requires explicit confirmation, and you can request it without signing in if you lost access.
Principles
How we think about your data
MOOV keeps what the product needs to work — your account, your activities, your groups and events — and avoids the rest. Location permission is requested only when it's needed, and you can change or revoke it in your browser's site settings at any time.
You can hide the exact start and end of your shared activities — for example when you start from home — from Settings → Privacy & blocked users, with a configurable 200 m, 500 m or 1 km radius. Other users see a trimmed route and never receive the hidden coordinates; you always see your full route.
