Importing GPX routes
MOOV+ members can import standard GPX files and preview them on a map before saving.
With a MOOV+ subscription you can import standard GPX 1.0 and 1.1 files from any mapping app or route planner that exports GPX.
- 1Open Menu, then Routes, and tap Import GPX
- 2Choose a .gpx file from your device
- 3MOOV parses the file in your browser, shows the route on a map and computes its distance and elevation
- 4Name the route, pick the sport and an optional collection
- 5Tap Save to add it to your route library
What is checked before a route is saved
- •Files up to 5 MB
- •Up to 20,000 track points per file — larger files are rejected, long tracks are thinned to 400 stored points while keeping their shape
- •Coordinates must be valid latitude and longitude values
- •Elevation values outside a sane range are ignored — the route is still saved without elevation data
Importing is a MOOV+ feature. Your files never leave your device until you tap Save — the points are sent to MOOV only then, and the server re-validates everything and recomputes distance and elevation itself.
